Remincising Easter Baptism Service & Family Day

Been so occupied with many things that I couldn't blog until now. Haha, well, here it goes.

Say, it's been a week since I was baptised at Changi beach. It was a really good day. Good weather, good high tide, good mood, good company, good music... =) The outdoor service was also special in its own way.

Hazel sent me the shots that she had taken on that day. I'll just post a few here since I really don't feel like typing much today.

Before Baptism

Shawn, Me, Abner & Aaron

The 10 Baptismal Candidates & Pastor Yee

Youth Baptismal Candidates (Cool, I'm still a youth! =D)

Baptism Time

Lining up for baptism in descending order of age
(Phew, I'm not in top fours. =þ)

Target: Aim my back properly!

Constructing the ULTIMATE shoe stand

Yay, the silly-looking, tambourine-shaped shoe stand actually works!

And so, I'm finally an official member of Gospel Baptist Church. ^^v Heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the baptism, including those who attended in heart and in spirit. Thanks for the baptismal presents. I didn't expect to receive presents. And thank Hazel for being our part-time youth group photographer. =) And thank God for the wonderful day.

It was really enjoyable being able to have fellowship and fun with one another. It was then I really felt like part of the family. But if troubles ever arise like being in an age where Christians are persecuted very badly, will we still be united just like when we had fun together in peaceful time?

I hope we will always be. =)

Where am I?

I'm feeling lost all of a sudden.

Where am I? Where am I heading to?

I'm not sure now.

Love & Hatred

Some people just so unreasonable and slanderous that I wish they would just disappear into thin air. *sigh. I don't wish to hate or bear grudges. If only they don't push things too far.

Yet these are the times when I feel really amazed by God's love, when I'm so utterly disappointed in my sinful and vengeful self.

Small & First Steps

So excited today. Cause I'm the usher today for church service. "Zao An Ni Hao, Here's the bulletin." =D Reminds me of the days back in where GBC was held in this Concorde Hotel. The doors were bigger so we had both ushers standing. For today, I let Lydia sit down while I'm in charge of opening the door and distributing bulletin. I know it may sound a bit silly but it's special cause it's my first (service) contribution to the church during worship service. =D

Hmm... Aaron and Abner is in Japan. With Shawn resting at home due to sickness, only Dorcas and I were left in the group with Uncle Francis. Decided to join Pastor Yee with four sec 1 young adults for a talk on baptism. Actually, Pastor Yee had already explained to me the whole thingy last Sunday, but it wouldn't hurt to listen to it again, I suppose. Ahhh, with such numbers in the group, it kinda reminds me of the old days again. I remembered Chee Kien, Azmi, Tye Wei and Laura would be taking turns to give Aaron and I CE on Sunday last time in Concorde Hotel. Wait, did I get the name of the Hotel, right? HAHA! It's been so long that I can't really remember the details anymore.

Well, after church, I decided to play some DotA at home since there's no guitar class today. Invoker is really such a fun and interesting hero to use. Too bad it's not so popular among players who hate memorising. The good points? It kinda make me stand out after owning so many people using him (beaming with pride!) =D

Alrighty, game ended. And so I went over to Angeline jie jie's place for Music Theory lesson. My FIRST serious Music Theory lesson! Really regretted not wanting to learn it when I was like seven years old. Never mind, gonna make up for lost time. And so, we covered some basics in 2 hours. Okay lar, not that bad, except for the notes on the bass clef! Guess it'll take me some time to memorise them.

Now, where's my 16 years old manuscript book that I've rediscovered months ago? I remembered only 1 page was used lol. It's supposed to remind me not to give up anymore.

But then again, I don't think I would need that. =)
