Today was fun during our first 'rehearsal' for the skit. Only wish that my 2-week-old cold would go away completely. It's no good trying to hit the notes right or trying to sustain a note when one has a semi-blocked nose and a partially choked-up airway.
Don't know if it's fortunate but I think I have the most slackish role. But this very role also doesn't allow me to sing most of the songs with the congregation! *sigh. BUT I wanna sssssssssing out loud with everyone! T.T I feel like joining the choir section instead but I guess somebody gotta fill this boring role somehow.
Hmm...
Alright then, I shall think hard, improvise and try my very best to act out this role and make it more interesting. And did I mention that I do have a verse to sing for the last song of the skit? Oh yes! So dear cold, you have stayed long enough and therefore, please leave me alone completely. Cause I wanna sing like Shawn! Oh boy, he's our GBC star singer now. REALLY! And I wanna eat the Get-Well-Lollipop that Caris gave me. *touched! T.T

I woke up feeling so totally refreshed today! A dreamless night - the perfect sleep recipe! =)
Work was a little boring today with so few customers. But I was far from idling away, which was good since that left me with no time for any depressing thoughts!
Ended today with a relaxing classical guitar practice.
Gonna sleep soon. Don't wish me sweet dreams. =)

Had probably one of adventurous (but weird) dream ever last night. And the thing about dreams, you'll forget them really easily if you don't make the effort constantly to remember them.
Sometimes, isn't it just annoying to be unable to recall certain details that you knew? You know that it's somewhere in your head, yet you can't seem to find the exact piece that you need. So totally frustrating to forget things at time!
Or so I thought.
If God really created us to remember absolutely everything, it would be terrible, wouldn't it? Time wouldn't heal our emotional wounds anymore if we're gonna let the inflicted pains remain in our deepest memories. Bad habit would be impossible to kick and we would all just continue to live in the past like oblivious beings without hope of any bright future.
Like a rain which will never end, without any hope of seeing any beautiful rainbow at the end. So yeah, I'm thankful that I'm not created to remember everything completely. I would explode. =X

Oh yes, today's the first day of school for the students. Wanna wish that all of you would work smart and do your best in school, be it in your studies or CCA. Though the journey of life is never smooth-sailing and the weather isn't always sunny, I'm sure all of you will eventually reach your destination if you focus hard enough and not sway away from your path.
Take heart, my friends, in everything you do.

Had a neat hair cut early morning and practised on the guitar for a while before taking a nap. Then practised on the guitar for another short while before Carissa called to ask how I was feeling and also about the skit. So nice of her to call and ask. Yesterday I tried to MSN Aaron and he just told me he didn't feel like chatting.
... ... Oh well. =(
Anyway, I left home for Malaysia soon after my short practice. Yeah, I'm so not gonna practise long hours any more. Right hand, please recover completely yah?
Honestly, I never really enjoy going back to Malaysia. The one that I most probably enjoyed was GBC church camp when I was in Sec 2. But then again, I have no choice but to return to Malaysia today. Gotta make this long trip down just to sign the lease agreement with the tenant. Why? Cause I'm the LANDLORD of this small house in Johor Bahru. MUAHAHA!!! AND DON'T LAUGH! At least legally, I am the landlord, okay?
As the tenant was late, my mom suggested going over to a neighbour's place at No. 62 to visit them. Haha, I was told that when I was young, I always enjoyed going over to their place. But really, I have absolutely NO memory of it, especially when I was only 2 years old.

Then I went upstairs to take a look. Found and opened a secret door that led to this HUGE BALCONY! Haha.
Just as I finished my mini exploration around the house, the tenant arrived! When everything's settled, my mom and I went over to JUSCO shopping mall with her friends for dinner. There, I finally got my new leather shoe. A 'Hush Puppies' leather shoe? Cool! Then shopped for another 2 shirts and 2 casual pants. Didn't have the time to find some nice tees though. =( Because it was already past 10pm when we decided to leave the shopping mall.
And tata, I'm back home in Singapore now. I love being in Singapore. Being back home (in Singapore) really gives me a real sense of security. But I do miss the freshness of the air at my neighbour's garden in Johor. Cool right? I doubt I can grow any tree in my house in Singapore. Haha.

Been thinking about many things today. Right hand was aching the whole day. I guess things are much worse than I have expected. I can't believe it has not recovered completely even with more than a week rest without much guitar practice. Depressing.
About the skit for the evangelistic worship service, I really don't know how I can contribute. I'm not good at singing or acting. Forget about strumming acoustic guitar. I can't even play solos properly on my classical guitar now. I think I'm better off being the audience. =( But I really want to contribute something. A role in which I'd be the best person for it. But what strength do I have, which other people do not?
Personally I don't think I have an inferiority complex. But why is it so easy for me to see my own weaknesses and yet so hard for me to identify my own strength and ability? *sigh
Argh, I'm feeling so lost these days. This won't do. I needa find my way out from all these mess!
Lord, I need direction. I need Your guidance.

I felt thankful that I woke up early in time to hitch a ride to church from Shawn's dad.
I was angry when someone said something which was hurting, but when I realised some truths in it, I became extremely disappointed with myself instead.
I'm sorry Lord that I was so blinded by negativity that I didn't open my mouth to sing praises to you, nor did I pray to you as a church during church service.
I brightened up when my hyper sis tried her best to encourage me and spur me on.
I'm glad that I kept my promise to attend Ting's band concert even though I was so worn out. The performance was great and entertaining.
I'm happy to have fellowship with Uncle William And Aunty Catherine during supper. They're such wonderful people to be with. Wise, experienced, yet fun people. Awww... Ting, I'm so envious that you have parents like them!

Cool, today didn't turn out as bad as I expected. We missed the 1:00pm Prince Caspian (cause apparently the showing time today is different from yesterday's >.<) and we decided to watch 'Kungfu Panda' first before going for Prince Caspian for 3:30pm. Thank God for me messing up the movie time slot cause the Panda show turned out unexpectedly funny and cute and all of us had our fill of laughter. Haha. Awww... Aren't you guys happy that it came as a blessing in disguise? =D
'Prince Caspian' is cool too. It has more battle scenes than its prequel 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe'. Though the Old Narnians didn't win every single battle, the ultimate victory still eventually became theirs, which was cool, because I love happy endings. =D
Geez, I'm so captivated by both 'Chronicles of Narnia' movies that I really wanna read all the seven 'Chronicles of Narnia' storybooks myself! Haha, Carissa, lend me please. =X And DON'T GET GROUNDED AGAIN! >.<
"FOR NARNIA!!!" Haha, I always feel touched and fascinated whenever Peter shouted that line in battle. And how they always believed that when Aslan arrives, all problems will be resolved.
Haha. Maybe we all too, should shout "FOR CHRIST!!" whenever we valiantly engage ourselves in spiritual battles, while waiting earnestly for Christ to return to set things right.
Just a thought, since I'm no Narian; I'm a Christian.

It seems that I'm such a lousy organiser. Just left a day away from GYM movie outing and I still haven't finalise the details and attendance yet. Honestly, I feel really discouraged. But I guess feeling discouraged doesn't help at all. I just wanna pray that God would guide me to make the movie outing an enjoyable, yet meaningful one for each and every one of us.
Pray also for:
1. My hyper sis to want to obey her parents and not make them angry or worried.
2. Ideas for Aaron to plan items for GYM to perform for the Evangelistic Worship Service on 13 July 08. Also pray that the hearts of the unbelievers would be softened and be willing to accept Christ into their life as their personal Saviour and Lord. For the believers, I pray also that our faith will all continue to be strengthened by the Holy Spirit in our inner-beings.
3. Fast recovery of my swollen left thumb and aching and trembling right hand, which I've injured from 'suicidal' excessive guitar practices.
4. Better time management and not being addicted to playing guitar. Teach me how to play guitar to serve God and not let it to be a distraction from seeking God.

The day started with faint memory of my phone ringing lol. Never expected Caris to call me early in the morning (though 1030am isn't early BUT if I'm in lala Land, it's considered early for me)... What's with that face lol, to you who are reading this? ... Okay okay, I admit that I overslept instead lol.
I'm supposed to finish my specimen dao gei exam book today but awww... I just practised on my guitar the WHOLE DAY. I have always wish that I could play guitar every day the whole day. Guess it's NOT a good idea after all, cause my hands are aching badly now. OUCH! T.T And it's only a day. =(
Sigh, guess I gonna learn how to manage my time properly. Kinda regretted a little spending the entire day playing the guitar with other things undone. =(
Alrighty, gonna sleep soon. And I hope that Sunday would come sooner than I expected! Can't wait for Prince Caspian movie outing cum dinner at Abner's place with GBCGYM group on 11 June. Hope that everyone can attend and that the event would turn out well.

It's been a special week because I suddenly have a younger sister! She's actually my churchmate but now she's also my hyperactive sis lol. Yup, Carissa is extremely hyperactive. And she loves to say 'HIIE' to people, especially to quiet ones. So beware if ya quiet, yah? JUST KIDDING! =X
Haha, I'm always happy on Sunday. Got to meet everyone in church again! Maybe not everyone since some went overseas on holidays. Haha, the guess-the-character game was fun. Can't believe my hyper sis Carissa actually wrote 'Mas Selamat' for poor Dorcas to guess lol. It's quite funny seeing Dorcas with the paper stuck on her forehead with the name 'Mas Selamat' on it. Luckily mine's was 'Issac Newton' lol. Haha, and I drew a cat's face and wrote 'Tom' for Carissa to guess.
Yay! Mr Choo said I improved again and that I am his first student to ever finish learning that study piece by Fer. Sor on my own within a week! Haha, but he didn't know that I only took half a week lol. Really feel that my efforts have paid off. A little bit disappointed that all these while he has never once said that I have the talent for playing classical guitar (though he mentioned a number of his other students who are talented but a bit lazy). Hmm... Maybe I really do not have the talent for it but yeah, I just gotta work many times harder than others then!
